Our PCN is moving to more group-oriented treatments, for a variety of things.

Who could I speak with in the Edmonton area about assuring that staff here can learn appropriate group therapy skills? So far an effort has been made for teaching-skills, but this is not the same as psychotherapy-skills.

It is important that the CGPA has organized this cite on the internet. Group psychotherapy is a vital option for clients, not only in that it offers different opportunities for clients, but it is more affordable at a time where many people need to stretch their pocket money. In Edmonton, I have been involved in group psychotherapy since 1976. I have run art and movement therapy groups since 1982.
I am presenting in Halifax at the CGPA conference along with Nick Zwaagstra MC:AT, RCAT, CCC. Hope to see some of you there. Jo Ann Hammond-Meiers
